Question:

Hi all.I just followed the book up to section 4.3.1 but there i am little confused about the panels module. Specifically i went to http://drupal.org/project/panels and downloaded the 6.x-3.5 version which from the readme file i see that it is the panels 2 module. So i tried first the panels 2 steps but when i go at /admin/build/panels and click the create new panel page i go to my user account page as the link points to /admin/build/pages/add . Also a silly question from me is where to download the panels 3 module and give it a try? Thanks in advance for your help?

1. Hi, You can download panels

Hi,

You can download panels at drupal.org/project/panels. All version are available there.

Are you reading the 1st or 2nd edition. The first is for panels 2, the latter for panels 3 (and 2).

2. Thanks for your answer. I am

Thanks for your answer. I am reading the second edition. I tried first to follow the panels 2 steps but with no success as i mentioned earlier. Now what modules i need to enable in order to try the panels 3 solution or should i stay with panels 2?

3. Panels 3 is the better

Panels 3 is the better choice. Just download panels 3 :-)

4. disable and unistall panels 2

disable and unistall panels 2 first
